2025-2026 Membership Information
Welcome to Island Synagogue! We're thrilled you're considering joining our diverse and vibrant community.
When you become a member of our synagogue, you're not just joining a community; you're helping to build it. Our members come from all walks of life, and our top priority is making every new person feel at home as quickly as possible. Your membership dues are what make our community thrive, funding everything from our dedicated staff and beautiful space to our fantastic kids' programs and community kiddushim. We're proud to have some of the most accessible membership costs in the greater Seattle area, and there are never any additional charges for High Holiday seats.
How to Join
To get started, please complete our online member application form. You'll be notified once your application is approved.
Membership Details & Dues for 5786 (September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026)
We ask that you contribute at a level that is financially feasible for you and your family. We do not require financial documentation, and all contributions are kept confidential.

Basic Membership: $2,900 per year

Chai Membership: For those who are able to contribute more, your support at a higher level helps us greatly by offsetting costs for those paying less.

Bronze Chai: $5,400 per year

Silver Chai: $7,200 per year

Gold Chai: $9,000 or above per year

Associate Membership: $825 per year (for those with a primary membership at another synagogue; does not include voting rights)
Security Fee: To help ensure the safety of our community, an additional security fee is applied to all memberships: $300 annually for full memberships and $100 annually for associate memberships.
Building Fund: Second-year members will be invited to contribute to our building fund/capital campaign.
Financial Accessibility: We believe that no one should be turned away due to financial constraints. If you have concerns about the cost, please contact our Executive Director, Keith, to confidentially discuss your options.
Payment Information
Annual dues are billed on September 1st. You may choose to pay the full amount or make monthly payments.
Payment Options:

Single Annual Payment: Pay the full amount by October 31st via check or credit card.

Monthly Payments: Set up equal monthly payments via recurring ACH bank withdrawal. This option is free of charge.
